Latest Update:

April 3 2018:

The project remains on schedule and on budget.

The building is basically enclosed, all the glass and glazing has been installed, and the roofing is substantially complete. The drywall, taping, texturing, and sanding is complete, and the painting and other work is continuing with the interior build-out and finishes. Elevator equipment has been delivered and is in the process of being installed. PG&E has committed to energize permanent power during April and May, which allows commissioning of all building systems to proceed on schedule. With the current dry weather, the site is drying out quickly and the concrete site work is continuing. The stone veneer installation has begun.

Construction of the new library began on Tuesday, February 14, 2017. The new library is anticipated to be completed in summer of 2018. During construction, library services are provided at a temporary location at Shoreline Station - 225 S. Cabrillo Highway, Suite 104B, Half Moon Bay, which is open seven days a week:

  • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday: 10 am - 8 pm
  • Thursday: 1 - 8 pm
  • Friday: 10 am - 6 pm
  • Saturday: 10 am - 5 pm
  • Sun: 1 - 5 pm
