Half Moon Bay Turns 60! City Invites Community to Special Reception

Half Moon Bay, CA - The City's 60th birthday is an opportunity to reflect on the community's many successes and rededicate efforts toward a promising and exciting future. A special reception is scheduled to commemorate 60 wonderful years since the City's incorporation, and the community is invited to join in:

Tuesday, July 16, 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
Half Moon Bay Library, 620 Correas Street

"Throughout the years, Half Moon Bay has gone through many changes and met many challenges, but one thing that's stayed the same is our community's dedication to sustaining our welcoming, inclusive, and hospitable Coastside personality," said Mayor Harvey Rarback, "As Mayor and a long-time resident, I take great pride in the collaborative, supportive, and inspiring community that has developed over the past 60 years. We have a lot to be proud of in Half Moon Bay, and I hope many of our residents will join us at the reception on July 16."

To celebrate this milestone, councilmembers both past and present will be joining in the 60th anniversary reception, along with City staff and partnering agencies. Attendees will enjoy delicious treats and refreshments.

Located 28 miles south of San Francisco, the City of Half Moon Bay is a community of about 11,500 people, situated on the peninsula between forested hills and some of the most beautiful coastlines that California has to offer. Its historic Downtown is home to numerous shops, art galleries, restaurants, bed and breakfasts, and other businesses, and its celebrated beaches and parks are wonders of nature, accessible to pedestrians, bicyclists, and equestrians.
