New Commanding Officer for Half Moon Bay/Coastside Patrol Bureau

April 23, 2018 - San Mateo County Sheriff's Captain Saul Lopez has been appointed the new commanding officer for the Half Moon Bay/Coastside Patrol Bureau. He is presently transitioning into the position, to assume command in his new assignment in June.

Half Moon Bay Moving Toward District-Based Elections

April 19, 2018 - The City Council adopted a resolution of intention to transition from Half Moon Bay’s existing at-large elections, to district-based elections. The first district-based election in Half Moon Bay should take place in November, 2020.

Utility Undergrounding Work Closes Section of Correas Street

News Release UPDATED 11/9/17: Correas closed between Church and Purissima. Utility undergrounding work taking place near site of the new Library construction. That portion of the Correas will remain closed until the opening of the new Library next summer.
