District-Based Elections Hearing Rescheduled to June 19

June 6, 2018 - The 2nd public hearing on district-based elections, scheduled for June 5, has been rescheduled to June 19. With that schedule change, the deadline for community members to submit their proposed district maps by has been extended to July 6.

District-Based Elections Hearing Rescheduled to June 19 - Deadline for Community to Submit Proposed Maps Extended to July 6

Due to other agenda items taking more time than anticipated, the second public hearing that was scheduled for June 5, 2018, was continued to the June 19, 2018 City Council meeting. That meeting starts at 7 pm, and takes place at Ted Adcock Community Center, 535 Kelly Avenue.


The deadline for community members to submit their proposed maps has been extended to July 6, 2018.


The community is encouraged to provide input on district-based elections:

  • Visit www.drawhmb.org for more information and tools to outline your ideas for district boundaries, or call 650-726-8266 to request a paper map kit; submit maps by July 6 (note new deadline)
  • Email input to Jessica Blair, City Clerk, at jblair@hmbcity.com
  • Drop off or mail input to City Hall, 501 Main Street, Half Moon Bay, CA 94019
  • Attend and participate in the public hearing on June 19
