Half Moon Bay Main Street Beautification Committee Contributes to Park Facilities Closed March 1st through March 31st February 3, 2011 HALF MOON BAY, CA – The Half Moon Bay Main Street Beautification Committee has contributed to restroom renovations at Mac Dutra Park in Downtown Half Moon Bay ensuring the project will move forward March 1. Half Moon Bay is one of the very few San Mateo County communities offering public restrooms in the Downtown area, making the area even more attractive to visitors and reducing non-business disruptions to Downtown businesses. The renovations will ensure compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards and reduce on-going maintenance issues. The renovations will include non-permeable and graffiti-resistant wall and floor coverings, new entry doors, and new bathroom fixtures including sinks, toilets, and hand dryers. The Half Moon Bay Main Street Beautification Committee has donated $10,000 toward the total project cost of approximately $50,000. The project was adopted last June as part of the City’s current fiscal year budget. Restroom facilities at Mac Dutra Park, located at the corner of Main and Kelly Avenue, will be closed for renovation March 1st through March 31st. Throughout renovations the west end of the park will be barricaded to allow for construction access while the remainder of the park will remain open to the public. Whelen Construction was the successful bidder on the project and will begin renovations in early March. ### If you would like additional information please contact Laura Snideman, City Manager, at
