The Financial Services Division is responsible for the control of all financial activities of the City including the disbursement of financial resources and ensuring that adequate resources are available. The Financial Services Division provides services to various operating departments and delivery of required services to the community.
Major functions of the Department are:
* Cash management, budgeting, financial reporting, debt service administration, internal control, and formulation of financial management policy and procedures.
* Accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, cash receipts, revenue and debt collection, maintenance of general ledger, accounting for capital improvement projects, and records of the City owned fixed assets and financial reporting.
* Processing business license applications, collecting business license tax, monitoring business license enforcement, and accounting and monitoring major revenues – Transient Occupancy Tax, Property Tax and Sales Tax.
