The Planning Department is responsible for processing applications for new development and for advanced planning for the City of Half Moon Bay, including maintaining the Local Coastal Program (LCP) and its Land Use Plan, the City’s General Plan and the various elements it contains, which establishes policies for future growth and ensures compliance with the provisions and regulations of the Zoning Ordinance, Sign Ordinance, and the Subdivision Ordinance.
