Public records requests
As a public agency, Half Moon Bay is committed to openness, accountability, honesty, and transparency in how it conducts the public's business.
The City Clerk of Half Moon Bay maintains all government records of the City, including historic records and legislative history. It is our obligation and duty to make information about the City's operations and decision-making available to the community, and that's why we maintain a robust records management system, a Public Records Request portal, and an Open Government Financial Transparency portal. We maintain compliance with all regulations and guidelines of the California Fair Political Practices Commission.
A great deal of information is available on the City's website, and we're continually working to make that information more easily located and accessed. You'll find City Council and Planning Commission agendas and agenda packets, Planning, Building, and bid documents, Finance and budget documents, and many more. Easily access Financial information on Half Moon Bay's Open Government Financial Transparency portal.
If you cannot locate the document you're seeking, feel free to contact City staff for assistance.
You may also utilize our Public Records Request function. Through this portal you can review or search to see what requests and responses have already been posted, or submit your own request. Someone considering a new records request may first want to search the portal database to see if the information they are seeking has already been posted.
