Republic Services is teaming up with the City of Half Moon Bay to hold an Community Recycling Event in honor of Earth Day for Half Moon Bay residents. The event will take place on Saturday, April 24, 2021 from 9AM to 12PM at the Smith FieldParking Lot (end of Wavecrest Road) and services are offered on a first-come, first-serve basis.
In order to maintain appropriate distance between all residents, participants are asked to wear a mask and adhere to the following rules according to the services below.
Self-Serve E-Waste Recycling: Electronic waste accepted at this event include TVs, monitors, printers, computers, cables, cell phones, lamps, DVD players, etc. Due to COVID-19, on-site assistance will not be available so bring only what you are able to physically carry from your car to the designated containers.
Paper Shredding: Please place all your boxes for shredding (3 boxes per household maximum) material in the trunk of your car. When arriving on site, follow the directions of staff to proceed to the designated paper shredding location where the vendor will retrieve the materials from your trunk.
Compost Giveaway: Due to space constraints, only 1 (one) households will be allowed to retrieve compost at a time. Any additional households will be asked to wait until it is their turn. Please remember to bring your own bags, shovels, buckets, etc.
