Project Description: In FY 2018-19, under the Parks Master Plan Implementation Program of the City’s Capital Improvement Program, the Public Works staff initiated a design process to address replacement of the aging play equipment as well as to identify opportunities to expand and enhance the park to better serve the needs of the neighborhood and City overall. The approved concept plan identified potentially three distinct phases. Phase 1 was completed in 2020 with the help of the Friends of the Half Moon Bay Parks and Recreation which raised $15,000 toward the new play equipment.
Project Status: The City is now ready to begin Phase 2 of the Frenchman’s Creek Park upgrades. Proposed improvements include a swing set, improved access, new ADA compliant parking, and furnishings. A portion of this project is funded through the California Proposition 68 Park Bond Program.
Latest Update: The City will be hosting a pop-up community event to share information about the proposed improvements for phase 2. The pop-up will be held:
