What is Pickleball?
Pickleball is a fun and energetic racquet sport that combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis! Two, three, or four players use paddles to hit a ball, similar to a wiffle ball, over a net. The sport shares features with other racquet sports, including the dimensions and layout of a badminton court, and a net and rules similar to tennis with a few modifications.

We hope you are getting excited to bring back softball here in Half Moon Bay! This year we will be hosting 2 adult leagues, with the first games beginning Monday, August 7th at Smith Field #3. The City of Half Moon Bay will be accepting registrations for 8 Adult Men’s softball teams, and 12 Adult CO-ED softball teams. Deadline or registrations is Tuesday, August 1st. The Men's Adult League will take place on Monday evenings and the CO-ED Adult League will take place on Wednesday & Thursday evenings.
This 10 week session will conclude with each league’s championship tournament. These tournaments will take place the 2nd to last week of October. (No games week of Labor Day Sept. 4th) The playoffs will exclusively include the 4 teams with the highest record of wins. In cases where records are equal, the decision will go to the team that has the highest run differential.
Games will begin at approximately 6pm and the last games of the evening will start at approximately 9pm. The cost per team is $450 and must be paid upon submittal of the team’s Player Waiver and Roster. The deadline for team registrations is Tuesday, August 1st. Teams MUST submit their ADULT SOFTBALL RULES AND WAIVER FORM signed by ALL PLAYERS before the team’s first scheduled game begins.
