Highway 1/Kelly Avenue Storm Drainage Improvement Project Begins July 29
The City has scheduled a storm drainage improvement project to help reduce flooding at and near the intersection of Highway 1 and Kelly Avenue. The goal is to alleviate much of the surface flooding that occurs each winter at the Cabrillo Unified School District Offices, Hatch Elementary School facilities, and along the south side of Kelly Avenue from Highway 1 to Half Moon Bay State Beach. This work is scheduled to begin on Monday, July 29, and is expected to be completed by the end of October. As this important work takes place, Kelly Avenue at Highway 1 will have to be closed at night for two weeks in late August/early September. We will provide an update when that scheduling is further developed. This project will have minimal impact on daytime traffic. Questions regarding this project can be directed to email@example.com. Thank you for your patience!
