The City of Half Moon Bay appreciates and recognizes the importance of LGBTQ History Month as an effective means of educating and calling to action community members, with the goal of working together in fighting prejudice and discrimination in their own lives.

Increasing visibility and raising awareness about LGBTQ history and sexual orientation and gender identity and expression (SOGIE) fosters a welcoming and inclusive community where LGBTQ residents, employees, and visitors can feel welcome and included, live their authentic lives, and be treated with dignity and respect.
